The story of the “Baure” holiday retreat began in 2008, when two young people, Rasa and Rimantas, fulfilled their dream of creating a cozy and, at that time, unique holiday retreat on the outskirts of Palanga, in Kunigiškiai. Our goal was to create a place where people could escape the city hustle, relax in cozy wooden cottages, and enjoy swimming not only in the sea but also in heated outdoor pools. This is not just about relaxation — it is also the continuation of a family story.

A name that holds a story

The name “Baure” is a special tribute to our family history. It belonged to the surname of the host Rimantas’s great-grandmother, who once lived in this very place, in the large village of Paliepgiriai. For us, it symbolizes respect for our roots, traditions, and sincere hospitality. Every corner here creates a sense of coziness, and the family-nurtured surroundings invite you to return again and again.

Meet the hosts of Baure

Rasa

She manages the holiday retreat, welcomes arriving guests, answers questions, and always makes sure everything runs smoothly. But Rasa’s work is much more than schedules and booking management. She takes care not only of cleanliness in the cottages, but also of morning coffee and fresh croissants, and whenever needed, she always finds time to talk, give advice, or simply share a smile. Rasa handles countless small yet very important tasks that create coziness and warmth — the special “Baure” atmosphere that guests remember for a long time.

The person from whom it all began. He is not only the creator of “Baure” — he is also the generator of its ideas, a visionary who is constantly looking for ways to grow, improve, and make the retreat even more comfortable and cozy for every guest. What matters to him are not only the details, but also the atmosphere, relationships, and warmth felt by everyone who visits. Rimantas’s energy, dedication, and sincere commitment are what turn “Baure” into not just a place to stay, but a living story of family, a dream, and a place you want to return to.

Over the years, the holiday retreat has grown and evolved, constantly upgrading its infrastructure, and the children have also joined the family business. Our secret to success is genuine care for every guest and attention to detail. We believe that every stay should be special and unforgettable.

Guests who value peaceful relaxation are welcome

The property is intended for quiet family relaxation. Large groups, parties, noise, loud music, and the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises are not welcome. Unauthorized visitors are not allowed on the territory. Quiet hours at the holiday retreat are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
